Hillsboro's email newsletter started off as a text-only formatted email that was delivered five days a week. We found that in this format, information was regularly being overlooked - or just plain ignored. I suggested that we switch to a MWF delivery schedule, with separate "eHerald Extra" emails in the case of breaking news updates on "off" days. We also decided that switching to a more graphics-friendly system (MailChimp) would provide for ease of communication and improve our readership & interaction. I created custom designed templates for ease of content construction. This format was readily welcomed & had great success amongst our audience.
